from motor vehicle licenses and gasoline taxes and from
fines and penalties for the violation of the Motor Vehicle
and Gasoline Tax Laws.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement),
title "Licenses", sub-title "Motor Vehicles", said new section
to be known as Section 221, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 220 of said Article, and to read as follows:

221. In order to carry out the purposes contemplated by
the laws licensing motor vehicles and imposing gasoline taxes,
and to prevent future diversions of motor vehicle and gaso-
line tax revenues, the Governor of the State shall hereafter
include in the Budget Bill submitted to the General Assem-
bly all receipts from motor vehicle licenses and gasoline
taxes and from fines and penalties collected for the violation
of said laws, for the purpose of enforcing the Motor Vehicle
and Gasoline Tax Laws and for the construction, reconstruc-
tion and maintenance of roads, highways, streets and bridges;
provided, however, that the payment of interest on and the
redemption of bonds issued for the construction of roads,
highways, streets and bridges shall be construed to be within
the purposes contemplated by this section and by the Acts
licensing motor vehicles and imposing gasoline taxes, and no
part of said receipts shall be included in the said Budget Bill
for any other purposes whatsoever.

SEC. 2. And be it -further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 482.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises
contained in the Last Wills and Testaments of certain per-
sons, deceased, and also to certain gifts, grants, sales, leases
and deeds made by various persons to and for the use and
benefit of sundry ministerial persons, religious corporations,
vestries, educational and charitable institutions, churches,
denominations or sects hereinafter named.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of said General Assembly
