section to follow immediately after Section 148 and to read as
follows:

148A. The said Board may by the affirmative vote of a
majority of its members revoke any certificate of registration
heretofore or hereafter granted for any of the following causes:
The practice of fraud or deception in obtaining registration as
provided in this sub-title, habitual drunkenness, conviction of
of a crime involving moral turpitude or unprofessional or dis-
honorable conduct. To revoke any certificate of registration
there shall be prepared and filed with the Secretary of said
Board a statement of the charge or charges against the person
against the person accused. A notice in writing, setting out
in substance the charge or charges, shall be served upon the
accused at least ten days prior to the date of hearing, which
hearing shall be public. The accused shall have the oppor-
tunity to confront the witnesses against him, to offer testimony
in his own behalf and to appear in person or by counsel, and
all witnesses at such hearing shall testify under oath, and the
attendance of witnesses may be enforced by said Board.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Sections 155 and 157 of Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Health", sub-title "State
Veterinary Medical Board", be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

155. Any person not qualified and registered as provided
in this sub-title who shall practice veterinary medicine or sur-
gery, or any branch thereof within the State of Maryland,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction
thereof, shall be fined not less than Five Dollars nor more
than One Hundred Dollars for the first offense, and not less
than Twenty-five Dollars nor more than Five Hundred Dollars
for succeeding offenses.

157. All monies collected as fines under this sub-title shall
be paid unto the treasurer of the County wherein the offense
shall have been committed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
