890 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH.

Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, as amended. Pro-
vided, however, that whenever assessments are payable in
installments, the provisions of this Act with reference to
assessments shall be limited to such installments as are due
and payable at the time such equity suit is instituted, and
such installments of such assessments as are not then due
shall remain a lien against the property and be assumed by
the purchaser of such property at such trustee's public or
private sale. The town treasurer, who shall file said suit,
shall deposit with the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince
George's County the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25. 00) in
full payment of the costs of the said Clerk in such cause.
An appeal from a final decree of said Court may be taken
by any party having an interest in any piece of real
estate described in said report to the Court of Appeals of
Maryland but such appeal shall apply only to the real estate
of the parties appealing, the decree or decrees rendered in said
cause to otherwise remain in full force and effect, said ap-
peals to be taken and perfected as now required by law.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1938.

CHAPTER 451.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince
George's County", sub-title "Hyattsville", said new section
to be known as Section 477A, to follow immediately after
Section 477 of said Article and to provide for the payment
of compensation to the Mayor and Councilmen of the Town
of Hyattsville; providing that this Act shall not take effect
until it has been submitted to the qualified voters of said
municipality and approved by a majority of the persons
voting thereon at a referendum election to be held not later
than six (6) months from the date of the passage of this
Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Prince George's County", sub-title
"Hyattsville", said new section to be known as Section 477A,
to follow immediately after Section 477 and to read as follows:
