"Against Bond Issue for Water and Sewer Systems" then this
sub-title shall be of no effect, provided, however, that the same
question shall be voted upon in the same manner at any suc-
ceeding general municipal election at which the Mayor and
Council of Salisbury may in its discretion, submit said ques-
tion, and when submitted and favorably passed upon by the
voters aforesaid the provisions of this sub-title shall become
immediately effective.

339. All Acts and parts of Acts, general or local, incon-
sistent with the provisions of this sub-title, be and the same
are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency, pro-
viding that nothing contained herein shall affect or restrict
any control which the State Board of Health is empowered
by law to exercise in any part of this State.

340. The Mayor and Council of Salisbury shall each year
charge and collect for the water supplied to the residents of
the City of Salisbury and vicinity, a sum sufficient to pay the
interest on the first One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($ 100, -
000. 00) of the bonds to be issued in pursuance of Chapter 255
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at its
Regular Session in the year 1927, and to pay the principal
amount of said bonds maturing in such year, and to pay for
the redemption of and interest requirements on all or such
portion of the second One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100, -
000. 00) of the bonds to be issued under Chapter 255 of the
Acts of 1927, as the Mayor; and Council of Salisbury may by
resolution from time to time determine, and the money so
charged and collected shall be kept and maintained in a sepa-
rate fund, it being the intention that the revenue so derived
shall be used to pay the principal of the first One Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($100, 000. 00) of the bonds issued under
said Chapter 255 of the Acts of 1927, as they severally mature,
and to pay the interest thereon, and in addition thereto to
pay the principal of and interest on all or such portion of
the second One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100, 000. 00) of
bonds issued under said Chapter 255 of the Acts of 1927 as
the Mayor and Council of Salisbury may from time to time
by resolution determine; the Mayor and Council of Salisbury
shall annually, as long as any of said bonds are outstanding
and unpaid, levy against all of the assessable property within
the City of Salisbury a tax sufficient to meet the interest on
said bonds as it becomes due and to pay the principal thereof
as they severally mature, provided, however, that in deter-
mining the amount of tax necessary to pay said interest and
principal, the Mayor and Council of Salisbury shall annually
deduct from the amount determined as necessary to pay the
principal and interest on said bonds, the full amount collected
