able to designate >a cross mark in the proper square or box
his or her decision for or against said question. If a majority
of the votes cast on said question shall be "Por Motion Pic-
tures and Dances on Sunday", then Sections 1 and 2 of this
Act shall become effective 30 days after said election, unless
such election be contested, in which event they shall take
effect one week after the final determination of such contest,
but if a majority of the votes cast thereon shall be "Against
Motion Pictures and Dances on Sunday", then this Act shall
be null and void and of no effect whatsoever.

CHAPTER 401.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
4 and 6 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, "
sub-title "Annapolis", changing the term of office and meth-
od of selection of the Board of Election Supervisors of the
City of Annapolis.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 4 and 6 of Article 2 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, "
sub-title "Annapolis, " be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
4. The Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the City of An-
napolis, shall on the second Monday of April every
four years beginning in 1937 appoint three persons who
shall be residents in and voters of the City of Annapolis, two
of whom shall always be selected from the leading political
parties of the State, one from each of said parties. They
shall be persons of approved integrity and capacity and none
of them shall hold elective office, and they must not be candi-
dates for office during their term of office. They shall be con-
stituted the Board of Supervisors of Election of the City of
Annapolis, each of said Supervisors shall hold office for
four years from the date of appointment, and in the event of
a vacancy existing by any reason, the Mayor, Counselor and
Aldermen of the City of Annapolis shall proceed immediately
to appoint another person to fill such vacancy. Before appoint-
ing such Supervisors of Elections the Mayor, Counselor and
Aldermen of the City of Annapolis shall request the City Cen-
tral Committees, representing the two leading political parties
of the State in said City, to designate at least four eligible can-
didates for the position of Supervisor of Elections in said city,
