the Acts of 1927 of the General Assembly of Maryland, be and
the same are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect upon the first day of June, 1937.

CHAPTER 389.
AN ACT to authorize the Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission to issue its bonds, guaranteed by the Commis-
sioners of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in an
amount not exceeding $500, 000. 00 for the purpose of con-
structing an additional water supply and to provide for the
payment of said bonds.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission
created by Chapter 122, of the Act of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1918, be, and it is hereby authorized and em-
powered to issue its bonds in an amount not exceeding Five
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($ 500, 000. 00) which bonds shall be
in addition to any bonds authorized to be issued under said
Chapter 122 of the Act of 1918, or any amendments thereof,
and shall be registered or coupon bonds in such denominations
as shall be determined by said Commission; shall bear interest
at a rate not exceeding 5% per annum, payable semi-annually,
and shall mature not exceeding 50 years from the date of issue,
or may be retired severally as said Commission may determine..
Said bonds shall be issued under the same provisions, limi-
tations and restrictions applicable to the bonds heretofore
issued by. said Commission under the provisions of Chapter
122 of the Acts of 1918 and the amendments thereto, and shall
be guaranteed as to payment of principal and interest by the
County Commissioners of both Montgomery and Prince
George's Counties, which guarantee shall he in the form and
under the provisions of Section 5, of said Chapter 122, of the
Acts of 1918. Said bonds shall not require the approval of the
Public Service Commission of Maryland and shall be issued
at such time and in such amounts as said Commission may
determine and shall be exempt from State, County and Munici-
pal taxation.
SEC. 2. The proceeds of said bonds shall be used for the
construction of one or more additional water supply projects
by the Commission, including the purchase of land, rights of
