as their interest may appear. If the proceeds of sale of any
piece of real estate should be insufficient to pay in full the
Town, County and State taxes and assessments against the
same, then such balance of proceeds shall be pro-rated between
the Town, County and State, in proportion to the amount
due at the time of distribution to each of such jurisdiction on
such pieces of real estate. Such payment shall constitute a
full satisfaction of all such taxes and assessments, and the
purchaser shall take title to said property free and clear of
past due taxes or assessments.

104. They are authorized to procure a room or house for
the incarceration of all persons who may be committed thereto
by the proper authorities for the violation of any ordinance
of the corporation. And they may provide for the commitment
of convicted persons to the county jail.

105. The Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's County shall annually pay the Commissioners of
Bowie three-fourths of the taxes levied against the assessable
property within said town for public roads and bridges.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 106 of Ar-
ticle 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Bowie",
be and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. Each section of this Act and every part of each sec-
tion are hereby declared to be individual sections, and the hold-
ing of any section or sections or part or parts thereof to be
void, ineffective or unconstitutional for any cause shall not be
deemed to affect any other section or part thereof.

SEC. 4. And 6e it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all of the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of
passage.

AN ACT validating, ratifying, approving and confirming
bonds and other instruments or obligations heretofore issued
by public bodies of this State for public works projects.
