SEC. 4. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland That this Act shall not be construed as in any
way modifying, altering or repealing any of the provisions of
Chapter 16 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
passed at its January Session in the year 1927, it being the
intention of this Act to be supplementary to and not incon-
sistent with the provisions of said Chapter 16 of the Acts of
1927.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That this Act shall take effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 339.

AN ACT to fix the rate of State taxation for each of the years
nineteen hundred and thirty-eight (1938) and nineteen
hundred and thirty-nine (1939), in accordance with the pro-
visions of Section 30, Article 81 of the Code of Public
General Laws of the State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the rate of State taxation for each of the years
nineteen hundred and thirty-eight (1938) and nineteen hun-
dred and thirty-nine (1939), respectively, is hereby fixed in
the manner following, and the taxes for each of the State
loans herein specified to be used to pay the installments of
principal and interest thereon.
