coal or coke shall be weighed on some regularly tested truck
or wagon scale in Washington County agreeable both to seller
and consumer on the same day of and before delivery and the
ticket or card indicating such weight shall be signed by
weigher in Washington County, whose name and address shall
be indicated on said ticket or card; provided, however, that
when a car load of coal or coke is delivered by rail to a con-
sumer in Washington County the Railroad weight shall be
permitted to govern sale and delivery of said sale of said
coal or coke.

The violation of any of the provisions of this section is
hereby declared to be a misdemeanor to be punishable, upon
conviction, by fine of not less than Five Dollars (f5. 00) nor
more than Twenty-Five Dollars ($25. 00), or imprisonment in
jail for not less than five days nor more than thirty days, or
both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the Court.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1. 1937.

CHAPTER 317.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County to take over, maintain
and repair the roads within the limits of Woodland Beach
in the First Election District of Anne Arundel County, and
to authorize the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County to levy a special tax of not more than twenty-five
cents per lot, as laid out and shown on the plat of Wood-
land Beach, said special tax to be used exclusively for the
maintenance and repair of the roads in Woodland Beach;
and relating to the duties of the Treasurer of Anne Arundel
County in the collection and disposition of said special tax.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 318.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 898
of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Sheriff", authorizing an additional deputy sheriff and pro-
viding that one of said deputies may be designated as Chief
Deputy at an additional compensation.
