said new section to be known as Section 89A, to be under sub-
title "Coal", to follow immediately after Section 89 of said Ar-
ticle, and to read as follows:
89A. For the purpose of this section, the term "persons"
shall be construed to include individuals, corporations, part-
nerships and associations and his, her or its agents, officers,
servants and employees delivering, selling, or offering for sale
coal and coke.
It shall be unlawful for any person to deliver, sell or offer
for sale any load of coal or coke in Frederick County without
a ticket or card which shall indicate on its face in plain char-
acters the vendor's name, the date, and the weight of such
coal or coke separately to each consumer, the kind of coal or
coke, the name of the purchaser, vendee or consignee. Such
coal or coke shall be weighed on some regularly tested truck
or wagon scale in Frederick County agreeable both to seller
and consumer on the same day of and before delivery
and the ticket or card indicating such weight shall be signed
by a weigher in Frederick County, whose name and address
shall be indicated on said ticket or card, provided, however,
that when a car load of coal or coke is delivered by rail to a
consumer in Frederick County the Railroad weight shall be
permitted to govern sale and delivery of said sale of said coal
or coke.
The violation of any of the provisions of this section is here-
by declared to be a misdemeanor to be punishable, upon con-
viction, by fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5. 00) nor more
than Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00), or imprisonment in jail for
not less than five days nor more than thirty days, or both fine
and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That Section 136 of
Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Washington County", sub-title "Coal",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
to read as follows:
136. For the purpose of this section, the term "persons"

officers, servants and employees delivering, selling, or offering
for sale coal and coke.

characters the vendor's name, the date, and the weight of such
coal or coke separately to each consumer, the kind of coal or
