year, which said sum shall be paid by the State Roads Com-
mission to each town in Prince George's County to be expended
by the towns in their discretion, for the payment of interest,
sinking funds or redemption payments on bonds issued by
said towns for street or highway purposes, or for the mainte-
nance, construction or repair by said towns of streets or high-
ways within said town. If any town so elects, its share may
be expended for the maintenance, construction or repair of
streets or highways within said town by the State Roads Com-
mission of Maryland in accordance with the provisions of law
allotting the proceeds of the "one and one-half cent (l 1/2c. )
Lateral, County, and Municipal Road gasoline tax fund" to
the several Counties for road purposes.
The balance of said allotment to Prince George's County
shall be expended by the State Roads Commission of Mary-
land, in that portion of the County not included within the
limits of the incorporated towns.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and
the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsist-
ency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 291.
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince
George's County", sub-title "Riverdale", sub-sub-title "Elec-
tion", said new Section to be known as Section 868A to fol-
low immediately after Section 868 of said Article, to pro-
vide for an increase in the term of the office of the Mayor
to two years.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be and it is hereby added to Article
17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Riverdale",
sub-sub-title "Election", said new Section to be known as Sec-
tion 868A, to follow immediately after Section 868 of said Ar-
ticle, and to read as follows:
