was enacted by Chapter 1 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland passed at its January session, in the year
1937, and to add two new and additional sections to said
Article 11 of Flack's Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Frederick County", sub-title "Bruns-
wick", sub-heading "Sewerage System", said two additional
sections to be known as Sections 54B and 54C authorizing
and empowering the Mayor and Council of Brunswick, in
Frederick County, Maryland, in its discretion, to borrow
or raise upon the faith and credit of said Town of Bruns-
wick, Maryland, a sum not to exceed Forty-five Thousand
Dollars ($45, 000. 00); and to issue, sell or pledge bonds,
stock, notes, negotiable paper or certificates of indebtedness
executed and issued by the Mayor and Council of Bruns-
wick, Maryland, therefor, for the purpose of constructing,
extending, erecting or completing a sewerage system and
refuse disposal plant for the Town of Brunswick, Maryland,
and to provide for the payment of the principal and interest
of such of said obligations as may be issued by a general
tax levy upon all the assessable property within the cor-
porate limits of said Town of Brunswick.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 54A of Article 11 of Flack's Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick
County", sub-title "Brunswick", sub-heading "Sewerage Sys-
tem", as the same was enacted by Chapter 1 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland passed at its January session
in the year 1937, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, and that two new and additional
sections be and they are hereby added to said Article 11 of
Flack's Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Frederick County", sub-title "Brunswick", sub-
heading "Sewerage System", said two additional sections to be
known as Section 54B and Section 54C, to follow after Section
54A, and to read as follows:

54A. The Mayor and Council of Brunswick, a municipal
corporation, in Frederick County, Maryland, is hereby au-
thorized and empowered, in its discretion, to borrow money on
bonds, stocks, notes, negotiable paper or certificates or indebted-
ness, executed and issued by the Mayor and Council of Bruns-
wick, in Frederick County, Maryland; provided the sum so
borrowed under this Act shall at no time exceed the sum of
Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($45, 000. 00), unless otherwise
expressly authorized by law; said sum not exceeding Forty-
five Thousand Dollars ($45, 000. 00) provided for in this sec-
tion to be in addition to any sum or amount of money which
the Mayor and Council of Brunswick has been authorized to
