shall be given and approved as aforesaid and filed with the
clerk of the court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1937.

CHAPTER 243.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
525C of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick County", sub-
title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks", as said section was
enacted by Chapter 92 of the Acts of the Special Session
of 1933, increasing the salary of the License Commissioner
and the amount allowed for expenses of the License Com-
missioner of Frederick County and providing for the paying
of said expenses and the salary of the License Commissioner
from the license fees.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 525C of Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick
County", sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks", as said
section was enacted by Chapter 92 of the Acts of the Special
Session of 1933, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:

525C. If a majority of the votes cast in any election dis-
trict on questions Numbers 2 and 3, as designated in Section
525A, shall be in favor of either or both of said questions, then
the Governor shall appoint a License Commissioner for Fred-
erick County, who, at the time of his appointment, shall be a
resident and taxpayer of Frederick County and shall have
resided in said County for not less than five years next preced-
ing his appointment and be not less than thirty years of age.
During his term of office, he shall not hold any other position
of trust or profit under the laws of the United States or the
State of Maryland. He shall receive an annual salary of One
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1, 500. 00) which shall be
paid by the County Commissioners of Frederick County, and,
in addition to his salary, the County Commissioners shall
provide him with such sum as may be necessary to cover office
and other expenses not exceeding One Thousand Dollars
($1000. 00) per annum. The salary and expenses of the License
Commissioner shall be paid by the County Commissioners from
