imprisonment, in the discretion of the Court. The term
"toilet articles" as used herein shall include perfumes, essences,
extracts, toilet waters, petroleum jellies, hair oils, pomades,
hair dressings, hair restoratives, hair dyes, tooth and mouth
washes, dentifrices, tooth pastes, aromatic cachous, toilet
soaps, toilet powders and any similar substance, article or
preparation by whatsoever name known or distinguished, used
or applied or intended to be used or applied for toilet purposes;
the term "cosmetics" shall include compounds and prepara-
tions for the care, cleansing or beautification of the skin, eyes
and hands.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 232.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 63
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Elections" sub-title "Ballots and Ballot
Boxes", and to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sec-
tions 157, 158, 160 and 162 of Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, 1924 Edition, title "Elections", sub-title
"Electors of President and Vice-President", and to repeal
and re-enact with amendments Section 27 of Article 41 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1924 Edition, title "Gov-
ernor-Executive and Administrative Departments", sub-title
"Governor", to provide for the elimination from the ballot
of the names of the candidates for Presidential Electors and
to provide a method for their selection; and to repeal Sec-
tion 159 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
1924 Edition.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 63 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Ballots
and Ballot Boxes", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:
