sum or sums of money not to exceed two thousand ($2, 000. 00)
Dollars in the aggregate, in any one year and to issue for said
indebtedness the note or notes of the Burgess and Commis-
sioners of Keedysville, said note or notes to be signed by the
Burgess of said Keedysville and counter-signed by the Clerk
of the Burgess and Commissioners of Keedysville, and to bear
interest from the date of its issue.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an Emergency Law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 166.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wash-
ington County", sub-title "Hancock", said new section to be
known as Section 525A and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 525 of said Article, making the rates or charges for the
use of water liens upon the property served by said water
and providing for the collection of the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 22
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Washington County", sub-title "Hancock", said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 525A, to follow immediately after
Section 525 of said Article and to read as follows:
525A. The rates, rents or charges for the use of water as
determined and charged by The Burgess and Commissioners of
Hancock are hereby declared to be and are hereby made liens
upon the property served by said water, and the said rates,
rents or charges shall be collected as other municipal taxes
are collected.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act stall take
effect June 1, 1937.
