SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 160.

AN ACT to authorize White Eagle Polish American Building
and Loan Association of Baltimore City, Inc., a body corpo-
rate, to construct a bridge or a causeway and bridge, in Bal-
timore County, at its own expense, connecting Hart Island
with the mainland at Williams Point Road.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the White Eagle Polish American Building and
Loan Association of Baltimore City, Inc., a body corporate, is
hereby authorized to construct, at its own expense, an open
pile bridge structure or a solid fill causeway with an opening
midway of said causeway to be joined by an open pile struc-
ture in Baltimore County, connecting Hart Island with the
mainland at Williams Point Road, over the waters of Hawks
Cove, a distance of about one thousand feet, the plans and
specifications and the erection thereof to be subject to the
approval of the Secretary of War of the United States of
America, and the Roads Engineer of Baltimore County, said
causeway to become the fee simple property of said White
Eagle Polish American Building and Loan Association of Bal-
timore City, Inc.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and be-
ing passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of
its passage.
