CHAPTER 28.
AN ACT to confirm and validate all bonds of The Annapolis
Metropolitan Sewerage District heretofore issued by The
Annapolis Metropolitan Sewerage Commission under the
guarantee of the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County and the Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the City
of Annapolis, including an issue of bonds in the amount of
One Hundred Ten Thousand ($110, 000) Dollars known as
Series "D", dated January 1st, 1936, and providing for its
passage as an emergency measure.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That all bonds of The Annapolis Metropolitan Sewerage
District heretofore issued by The Annapolis Metropolitan
Sewerage Commission, including an issue of bonds in the
amount of $110, 000 known as Series "D" dated January 1,
1936, bearing interest at the rate of four per centum (4%)
per annum, payable semi-annually from such date, issued in
the denomination of $1, 000 each, and payable serially on
January 1st, $2, 000 thereof in each of the years 1937 and 1938,
$3, 000 thereof in each of the years from 1939 to 1941, inclu-
sive, $4, 000 thereof in each of the years from 1942 to 1949,
inclusive, and $5, 000 thereof in each of the years from 1950 to
1962, inclusive, which bonds are guaranteed as to the payment
of principal and interest by the Mayor, Counselor and Alder-
men of the City of Annapolis and by the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel County, and are in all other respects
substantially in accord with the provisions of Chapter 2 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1933 creating
such district and repealing and re-enacting Chapter 104 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1931, are hereby
in all respects confirmed and validated as lawfully issued
under the authority of said Acts.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and they
are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SBC 3. And be it further enacted. That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
