duties and obligations hereunder of a renouncing state shall
continue as to parolees or probationers residing therein at
the time of withdrawal until retaken or finally discharged by
the sending state. Renunciation of this compact shall be by
the same authority which executed it, by sending six months'
notice in writing of its intention to withdraw from the com-
pact to the other states party hereto.
SECTION 2. And be it further enacted., That if any section,
sentence, subdivision or clause of this act is for any reason
held invalid or to be unconstitutional, such decision shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this act.
SECTION 3. And be it further enacted, That this act may be
cited as the Uniform Act for Out-of-State Parolee Supervision.
SECTION 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public safety, and, being passed
upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 126.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Health", sub-title
' Tuberculosis", said new section to be known as Section
250A and to follow immediately after Section 250 of said
Article, creating a Board of Visitors for the Sanatorium for
colored persons at Henryton, in Carroll County, and pre-
scribing their duties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
''Health", sub-title "Tuberculosis", said new section to be
known as Section 250A, to follow immediately after Section
250 of said Article, and to read as follows:
