the levying of taxes for the payment of the expenses of
Jurors, the depositing of sums so levied in banks and the
settling of accounts with the bank.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 338, 339 and 340 of Article 2 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), be, and
the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 117.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Sunday Observance", said new section
to be known as Section 479A and to follow immediately
after Section 479 of said Article, to authorize the exhibition
of motion pictures in the Fifth Election District in Anne
Arundel County at certain hours on Sunday and to repeal
Sections 4. 83 and 485 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", and all other Public
General and Public Local Laws in so far as inconsistent
therewith, and providing for a referendum thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
2 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Sunday Observance, " said
new section to be known as Section 479A, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 479 of said Article, and to read as follows:

479A. Notwithstanding any provision of any Public Gen-
eral or Public Local Law, it shall be lawful to show or exhibit
motion pictures in the Fifth Election District in Anne Arundel
County on Sundays after 2. 30 o'clock P. M.; provided, that ten
per cent (10%) of the gross receipts from the sale of tickets,
less any State tax on admissions, shall be donated and paid to
the American Legion and/or any other non-profit charity or-
ganization; and provided, further, that such exhibitions shall
be subject to all provisions of law relating to licensing and
censorship applicable to motion picture exhibitions on week
