known as Section 531A and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 531 of said Article, authorizing the Mayor and Common
Council of Westminster to borrow money under certain
contingencies.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 7
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Carroll County", sub-title "Westminster", said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 531A, to follow immediately after
Section 531 of said Article, and to read as follows:

531A. Whenever the amount of taxes collected shall be
insufficient to meet the current expenses of the City of West-
minster, the Mayor and Common Council shall have the power
and authority to borrow, upon the faith and credit of said
The Mayor and Common Council of Westminster such sum of
money, not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00),
as may be necessary to pay such expenses.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 16.

AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "How-
ward County", sub-title "Roads", to be under a new sub-
heading "Fire Protection", said new sections to be known
as Sections 288A to 288D, inclusive, and to follow im-
mediately after Section 288 of said Article, to regulate
parking near fire hydrants and fire engine houses in Howard
County, and to prohibit driving across fire hose in certain
cases in Howard County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That four new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Howard County", sub-title "Roads", to
be under a new sub-heading "Fire Protection", said new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 288A to 288D, inclusive, to fol-
low immediately after Section 288 of said Article, and to read
as follows:
