for Howard County be subject to a fine not exceeding One
Thousand Dollars ($ 1, 000. 00), or be imprisoned for not ex-
ceeding one year, or both fine and imprisonment in the dis-
cretion of the Court; and upon conviction it shall be obligatory
upon the Court to order a revocation of the license, both as to
person and place, for the period of six months from the date
of conviction, and no license shall be issued to either said
person or place within said period. Any false statement, affi-
davit or oath required under the provisions of this Act shall
be deemed perjury and the offender, upon conviction thereof,
shall be subject to the penalties prescribed in this section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That Paragraph 3, title
"Beer License, Class A-Off Sale" and "Beer License, Class D-
On Sale-Generally"; Paragraph 4, title "Beer and Light Wine
License, Class D-On Sale-Generally"; Paragraph 5, title "Beer,
Wine and Liquor License, Class A-Off Sale", of Section 3 of
Article 2 B of the Code of Public General Laws, and Section
5, Sections 12 to 15, inclusive, Sections 17 to 26, inclusive, and
Sections 28 to 35, inclusive, all of said Article 2B of said Code
of Public General Laws, be and the same are hereby repealed
in so far as the same shall apply to Howard County, and all
other general or local laws to the extent that they may be
inconsistent herewith, are hereby repealed, provided that noth-
ing herein shall be construed in any way as affecting the
issuance of licenses by the State of Maryland or any agency
thereof, pursuant to Article 2B of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, or the privileges granted such licensees by
said Article 2B.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is de-
clared to be an emergency law necessary for the preservation
of the public health and safety, and having passed upon a yea
and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to the two Houses of the Legislature, the same shall
be effective from May 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 93.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen
Anne's County", sub-title "Fines", said new section to be
known as Section 233A and to follow immediately after
Section 233 of said Article, said new section to provide that
the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's County is
