of this Act shall thereupon become effective, but if a majority
of the votes cast thereon shall be "Against Boundary Change",
then this Act shall be null and void and of no effect whatsover.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 548.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 178 of the Acts of 1896, and also
Sections 476 to 525, inclusive, of Article 6 of the Code of
the Public Local Laws (Flack's 1930 Edition), title "Caro-
line County", sub-title "Ridgely", and to enact in lieu
thereof an amended charter for the town of Ridgely, in
Caroline County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 178 of the Acts of 1896, and also Sections
476 to 525, inclusive, of Article 6 of the Code of the Public
Local Laws (Flack's 1930 Edition), title "Caroline County",
sub-title "Ridgely", be and the same is hereby repealed, and
that an amended charter for the town of Ridgely, in Caro-
line County, be and the same is hereby enacted to read as
follows:

SECTION 1. The inhabitants of the Town of Ridgely, in
Caroline County, are hereby created a body corporate, by
the name of the Commissioners of Ridgely, with all the
powers and privileges of a body politic and corporate, and
by said corporate name shall have perpetual succession, may
sue and be sued, shall have and use a common seal, which
may be altered at pleasure, and shall have all the rights
incident to or that may attach to a municipal corporation,
and shall have and possess all the rights, powers, property
and duties vested in and devolving upon the Commissioners
of Ridgely, a body politic, and corporate, as the same now is
constituted, except as the same may be changed by this Act.

SEC. 2. That the limits of said town shall include all the
land and territory contained and embraced within the fol-
lowing boundaries, to wit:

Beginning at a point where the center of Central Avenue
intersects the center of Pennsylvania Railroad tracks and
running with the center of said tracks in a northeasterly
