authorized and required to levy the needful taxes on the assess-
able property within the County liable to taxation as shall be
sufficient to pay said salaries.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 542.
AN ACT to add eighteen new sections to Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Prince George's County", said new sections to be known as
Sections 440A to 440R, inclusive, under a new sub-title "In-
stallation of Electrical Apparatus and Wiring", and to fol-
low immediately after Section 440 of said Article, to pro-
vide for the examination and licensing of all electricians
doing electrical work in Prince George's County and impos-
ing certain conditions for the furnishing of electricity for
any premises.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That eighteen new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Prince George's County", said new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 440A to 440R, inclusive, under
a new sub-title "Installation of Electrical Apparatus and Wir-
ing", to follow immediately after Section 440 of said Article,
and all to read as follows:
440A. The Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's County shall, within thirty (30) days after the
passage of this Act, appoint a board which shall be known
as the Board of Examiners and Supervisors, consisting of three
(3) persons, for the purpose of examining into the qualifica-
tions and capabilities of all persons who are engaged or de-
sire to engage in the business of Master Electrician as defined
in this Act. The board so appointed shall consist of two
competent persons, familiar with the electrical business, re-
siding in Prince George's County, whose term of office
shall be for two years, and the President of the Prince
George's County Volunteer Firemen's Association, Inc.,
whose term of office shall run for the same period of
time that he shall hold office as president of the said associa-
tion. Should any vacancy occur from any cause during the
