CHAPTER 510.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 3 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Baltimore
County", sub-title "Licenses", said new section to be known
as Section 484A and to follow immediately after Section. 484
of said Article, providing for the licensing of vendors of
certain foods and merchandise in Baltimore County and fix-
ing penalties for the violation thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Baltimore County", sub-title "Licenses", said new
section to be known as Section 484A and to follow immediately
after Section 484 of said Article and to read as follows:

484A. From and after June 1, 1937, it shall be unlawful
for any person, association, firm or corporation to hawk, sell,
peddle, vend, or offer for sale, in or upon the streets or high-
ways of Baltimore County, at retail; or go from house to
house either in a vehicle or on foot, upon the streets or high-
ways of Baltimore County, for the purpose of hawking, sell-
ing, peddling, vending, or offering for sale, at retail: any
fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, poultry, oysters, goods, wares, or
merchandise of any kind whatsoever without having previous-
ly obtained from the Clerk of the Court, under the seal of the
Corporation, a license so to do, for which each person, asso-
ciation, firm or corporation shall pay the sum of Thirty Dol-
lars per annum, in advance, for each vehicle used on the streets
or highways of the County. The license year shall begin on
June 1, 1937, and end on the last day of April in each and
every year thereafter.

The provisions of this section shall not apply to the sale
of milk, ice, flowers, plants and/or trees however produced,
nor to vegetables, butter, eggs, poultry, fruit, or country
produce sold or offered for sale by the makers or growers
thereof.

Every applicant for any such license shall be furnished
with a gum label or metal tag for each vehicle bearing the
following inscription "Baltimore County Huckster's License
No........... " and said label or tag shall bear the same num-
ber as the number in the license issued to the applicant for
each vehicle, and designate when the license will expire. The
label or tag shall be attached to the vehicle to be used by the
applicant, on the right hand side of the vehicle and shall at
all times be visible. The applicant shall be required to state
his name, address, weight, color, height, color of hair and
eyes, which entry shall be noted on the license to be issued to
