sums hereafter appropriated to such institution, shall be used
for the purpose of providing for negroes both undergraduate
education in the Arts and Sciences and education in the field
of graduate studies.
9. All funds now or hereafter appropriated to Princess
Anne College shall be used for the purpose of conducting there
a four-year college or institute of agriculture and the me-
chanical arts, including home economics and two years of basic
work in the arts and sciences.
10. As far as possible, consistent with the funds appro-
priated, Morgan and Princess Anne Colleges in their respec-
tive fields, shall offer such instruction as will provide com-
petent teachers for the negro high schools of the State.
11. Any Act, or parts of Acts, inconsistent with this Act
shall be, and the same are, hereby repealed to the extent of the
inconsistency.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 577 of the
Acts of 1935, be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1st, 1937.

CHAPTER 507.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "State's Attorney", said
new section to be known as Section 949A, and to follow
immediately after Section 949 of said Article, authorizing
the State's Attorney of Montgomery County to appoint a
clerk and prescribe his or her duties and compensation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "State's
Attorney", said new section to be known as Section 949A, to
follow immediately after Section 949 of said Article and to
read as follows:
949A. The State's Attorney for Montgomery County is
hereby authorized and empowered to appoint a clerk, at a
compensation of one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125. 00)
