from the Clerk of the Court before whom such oath was taken
and subscribed shall be filed in the office of the said Board.

293. Immediately after the appointment and qualification
of the members of the Board they shall meet and organize by
electing from among their number a President, Vice-President
and a Treasurer, and adopt all necessary rules, by-laws and
regulations, not inconsistent with the constitution and the
laws of this State, for the transaction of the business of the
said Board, and the management of its affairs, as they may
deem expedient, and the Board is further authorized to adopt
and use a seal for any and all business of the said Board re-
quiring the use thereof.

294. The members of the said Board shall serve without
pay, but shall have the power to appoint a Secretary at a sal-
ary of not more than Five Hundred Dollars per annum, and
one or more inspectors, whose compensation shall be fixed by
said Board, which, together with the actual traveling, legal
and other necessary expenses of the Board and its officers,
shall bo paid out of the receipts as hereinafter directed.

295. The said Board shall meet at least once every year,
and may also hold special meetings as frequently as the proper
and efficient discharge of its duties shall require, at the time
and place to be fixed by the by-laws and rules of the Board.
The by-laws and rules of the Board shall provide for the giv-
ing of proper and timely notice of all meetings to every mem-
ber of the Board. A majority of all the members of said Board
shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of any and all
business of the said Board.

296. It shall be the duty of any person, co-partnership or
corporation now licensed to carry on the business of
Funeral Directing in the State of Maryland at the time
of the passage of this Act to cause, within sixty days after the
passage of this Act, his, her, its or their name or names, resi-
dence or place of business, to be registered with the State
Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers of Maryland
whose Secretary shall keep a book for that purpose.
If such application shall be made by a co-partnership, the same
shall state the names and addresses of the persons composing
such co-partnership, and if such application shall be made by
a corporation, it shall state the names and addresses of the offi-
cers and directors of said corporation, and upon receipt of
said application such persons, co-partnerships or corporations
shall receive from the State Board of Funeral Directors and
Embalmers of Maryland a license which shall authorize the
person, co-partnership or corporation named therein to carry
