1042 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 501
CHAPTER 500.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 22 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washing-
ton County", sub-title "Clearspring", said new section to be
known as Section 126A, and to follow immediately after
Section 126 of said Article, to authorize the Commissioners
of Clearspring to regulate parking within said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Washington County", sub-title "Clearspring",
said new section to be known as Section 126A, to follow imme-
diately after Section 126 of said Article, and to read as follows:

126A. The said Commissioners shall have power to pass or-
dinances to regulate the parking of vehicles on the public
streets within the limits of said town.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

Approved May 18, 1937.

CHAPTER 501.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 170
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Sup-
plement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "State Tax
Commission", by fixing the scale of annual salaries of Super-
visors of Assessments of Baltimore City and of the several
Counties of the State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 170 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-
title "State Tax Commission", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

170. The annual salaries of the Supervisors of Assessments
shall be based on the aggregate value of property assessed for
taxation in the County or City for which such supervisor is
appointed and said salaries shall be as follows:

If the aggregate value shall not exceed $5, 000, 000, the an-
nual salary shall be $750.
