fixed by the Secretary of State at which copies may be furnish-
ed to purchasers.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1st, 1937.

CHAPTER 77.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
29 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Elections, "
sub-title "Registration, " and to enact eleven new sections,
to be known as Sections 29-1 to 29-S, inclusive, of said
Article, providing for a permanent general registration of
voters in Baltimore City in the years 1939 and 1940, and for
subsequent registrations and revisions; and relating to the
forms and equipment to be used for such registration.
WHEREAS, the convenience of the voters of Baltimore City
would be promoted by dispensing with the requirement for
their re-registration at more or less frequent intervals and by
providing for their permanent general registration, and for
subsequent changes of residence to be noted at a centrally
located place of registration, at which, also, those who shall
become entitled to register subsequently to such general regis-
tration shall be registered, and
WHEREAS, the system for which provision is herein made
will be more economical and will tend to greater uniformity,
efficiency and certainty in registration and elections, there-
fore:
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 29 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title
"Elections, " sub-title ''Registration, " be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as
follows:
29. In the City of Baltimore there shall be a general
registration in the year 1936. For such general registration
the Boards of Registry shall be in session on the Tuesdays,
respectively, six and four weeks preceding such regular
election, and on the Wednesday next following said Tues-
