(e) TENURE. Members of the Boards shall serve for a term
of two years, except that in Harford County the term shall be
three years, in Somerset County it shall be four years, in
Montgomery County it shall be six years, and in Worcester
County it shall be ten years.
(f) QUALIFICATIONS. Members appointed to the several
Boards shall be residents and voters of the county in which
appointed, and shall be persons of high character, integrity,
and recognized business capacity. In Harford County they
shall also be taxpayers of said county.
(g) ORGANIZATION. The Board in each county shall organize
by electing its own chairman, except that in Montgomery
County the Governor shall designate one of the appointees to
be Chairman of the Board. In Harford County the Board shall
also elect a Secretary-Treasurer.
(h) COMPENSATION. Members of the several Boards shall
receive compensation as follows:
(1) Harford County—Nine hundred dollars per annum,
one-half of said salaries to be paid from the gross
proceeds derived from the operation of county dis-
pensaries.
(2) Kent County—No additional compensation.
(3) Montgomery County — Twelve hundred dollars per
annum, and in addition thereto the Chairman shall
receive the additional sum of four hundred dollars
per annum.
(4) Queen Anne's County—Five dollars per day for every
day devoted to the duties of the Board, but not ex-
ceeding three hundred dollars per annum, and in addi-
tion thereto a salary of two hundred dollars per
annum for the Chairman of the Board.
(5) Somerset County—Five hundred dollars per annum.
(6) Wicomico County—Five dollars per day for every day
devoted to the duties of the Board, but not exceeding
five hundred dollars per annum, and in addition
thereto a salary of two hundred dollars per annum
for the Chairman of the Board.
(7) Worcester County—Six hundred dollars per annum,
with a mileage fee of five cents per mile when in
attendance upon meetings.
