bribes for the purpose of altering the outcome of athletic
contests.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Bribery", said new
section to be known as Section 28A, to follow immediately
after Section 28 of said Article, and to read as follows:

28A. Any amateur or professional athlete or other person
participating in or connected with any athletic contest, who
accepts a bribe to alter the outcome of said athletic contest,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof,
shall be subject to a fine of not more than Five Thousand
Dollars ($5,000.00) or to imprisonment for not more than
three (3) years or both.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 68.
(House Bill 114)

AN ACT to incorporate a certain area in Prince George's
County, Maryland, as a municipal corporation to be known
as the "Town of College Park", and to provide for the
government thereof, the said municipal corporation to in-
clude certain properties lying within the Riverdale and
Berwyn Election Districts and more particularly described
as follows:

Beginning for the same on the western line of the Balti-
more-Washington Boulevard, IT. S. Route No. 1 (60 feet
wide), at a stone about 200 feet north of the line between
the Riverdale (No. 19) and Berwyn (No. 21) Districts, said
stone being the southeast end of the S. 53° 59' E. 2846.6 feet
line (eleventh) of Mueller to Gilbert dated September 18,
1918 and recorded in Liber 134 at Folio 311 of the Land
Records of Prince George's County, and running by and
with the said line, reversed, N. 53° 59' W. 2846.6 feet to a
stone; thence continuing N. 53° 59' W. along the prolonga-
tion of the said eleventh line of Mueller to Gilbert, reversed,
to its intersection with the prolongation of the present
