missioners to purchase various types of insurance for the
benefit of County employees, and to pay all, part or none
of the costs of such insurance.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners", to be known as Section 28BB, to follow immediately
after Section 28B of said Article, and to read as follows:
28BB. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County
are hereby authorized to apply for and purchase on behalf of
and for the benefit of the various county employees group life
insurance, accident and sickness insurance, hospitalization
insurance, including medical and surgical benefits and/or
annuity and retirement insurance in such amounts, types and
plans and from such companies and agents as the said County
Commissioners of Wicomico County shall, in their sound dis-
cretion, select. The said County Commissioners of Wicomico
County are further authorized, in their discretion, to pay all,
any portion of, or no portion of the cost of such insurance;
the employees, if they elect to participate in such plan, shall
pay all or any amount of the cost of such insurance that is
not paid by the said County Commissioners of Wicomico
County. If the said County Commissioners of Wicomico
County elect to pay any of the cost of said insurance, such
cost shall be included in the annual budget and levy of said
town.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1. 1947.

(House Bill 834)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wi-
comico County", sub-title "Salisbury", said new section to
be known as Section 280A and to follow immediately after
Section 280 of said Article, authorizing the Mayor and
Council to purchase various types of insurance for the benefit
of City employees, and to pay all, part or none of the costs
of such insurance.
