Section 259 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Retail
Sales Act", as said section was enacted by Chapter 281 of the
Acts of 1947, said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section
(ha), to follow immediately after Sub-section (h) of said
Section 259, and to read as follows:

259.

(ha) "Food" as used and defined in this section shall be
construed to include ice when used for household consumption.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1,1947.

(House Bill 813)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
202 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-
title "Revenue and Taxes", to be under a new sub-heading
"Clerk to County Commissioners", as said section was
amended by Chapter 563 of the Acts of 1943, changing the
title and compensation and providing for the appointment,
term, bond and duties of said employee.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 202 of Article 23 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico
County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes", to be under a new
sub-heading "Clerk to County Commissioners", as said section
was amended by Chapter 563 of the Acts of 1943, be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read
as follows:

202. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County are
hereby authorized and empowered to appoint a Secretary who
shall also be Clerk to said County Commissioners, to confer
upon him such duties and responsibilities as said Commis-
sioners, from time to time, shall deem advisable, to make him
responsible and accountable to said Commissioners for the
proper performance of Ms duties and responsibilities, and to
fix from time to time, regulate the salary or compensation of
