Prince George's County (Flack's Edition, 1943), title
"State's Attorney", as enacted by Chapter 606 of the Acts
of 1943, to provide for an increase in the compensation of
the stenographer of the State's Attorney of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Paragraph (e) of Section 1287 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (Flack's Edition, 1943),
title "State's Attorney", as enacted by Chapter 606 of the Acts
of 1943, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
1287. (e) The said State's Attorney is hereby authorized
and empowered to appoint a stenographer, who shall perform
such stenographic and clerical duties as he or she may be
directed by said State's Attorney to perform, and who shall
receive a salary in the discretion of the County Commissioners
of said county, not exceeding Two Thousand Dollars
($2,000.00) per annum, payable monthly, to be levied for and
paid by the County Commissioners of said county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 401.
(House Bill 585)
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 538 of the Acts of 1943, so as to
terminate the payment of additional compensation to em-
ployees of Prince George's County during the duration of
the war.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 538 of the Acts of 1943, be and the same is
hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1947.
