SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Paragraph (g) of Section 60 of Article 2B, title
"Alcoholic Beverages", of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, be, and it is hereby, repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

60.

(g) In Prince George's County each of the members of
the Board, except the chairman thereof, shall receive an
annual salary of One Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars
($1,200) ; and the chairman thereof shall receive an annual
salary of One Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($1,600.00).
The clerk of the Board who shall be the clerk of the Board
of County Commissioners shall receive an annual salary of
One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) as clerk to
said License Board; the attorney for the Board shall receive
an annual salary of One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($1,200.00), and the said Board shall be authorized to appoint
a secretary to the clerk to the Board who shall receive an
annual salary of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) and to ex-
pend such additional sum or sums as may be necessary, not
exceeding Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per
annum, to cover printing and other expenses.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 381.
(House Bill 512)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Laurel, Prince George's County, to borrow an amount
not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00)
and to issue its bonds, notes or other certificates of indebted-
ness therefor for the purpose of purchasing a fire engine or
truck and the necessary equipment therefor, and to levy
municipal taxes to pay the principal and interest of such
indebtedness and to provide for a referendum thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Prince
George's County, be and it is hereby authorized and empow-
ered to borrow on the faith and credit of said town an amount
