as the Council may determine. Such improvements may in-
clude storm drainage, the listing of which shall not exclude
other improvements.

d. To provide, maintain and operate such community and
social services for the preservation and promotion of the
health, recreation, welfare and enlightenment of the inhabi-
tants of the Town of Bladensburg as the Council may deter-
mine.

e. 1—To adopt and enforce within the corporate limits
police, health, sanitary, fire, traffic, parking, building, and
other similar regulations not in conflict with the laws of the
State of Maryland.

e. 2—By regulation to suppress vice, crime and immor-
ality; to restrain and punish all disorders, disturbances of
the peace and drunkenness therein; to suppress bawdy houses
or other places of public ill-fame or injurious to public order,
and to prevent and remove nuisances and obstructions from
streets, alleys, lanes and lots adjoining same, prevent firing
of guns, cannons, pistols, rifles, slingshots, firecrackers or
other firearms or explosives therein; to suppress fires and
danger thereof; to prevent, suppress, regulate, tax and issue
licenses and charge fees for operation of Trailer Camps.

f. To have control over all the public roads, streets,
alleys, and sidewalks within the corporate limits of the Town
of Bladensburg, and to provide for repairing, resurfacing,
constructing, reconstructing, grading, cleaning, mending and
perfecting the same; to open, close, straighten, widen and
otherwise alter public roads, streets, alleys and walks with
the same powers and subject to the same limitations as are
or may be granted to or imposed upon the Board of County
Commissioners of Prince George's County.

g. To have control over parks, recreation areas and fa-
cilities and other public property, and to provide for creating,
extending, improving, maintaining and operating the same.

h. To issue licenses and collect fees for the privilege of
doing business in said town, subject to any restrictions im-
posed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

i. To enact zoning ordinances not in conflict with the ex-
isting law of the State of Maryland, for the purpose of in-
suring the orderly growth of the town and the protection
of the public health, welfare, safety and morals. To regulate
the location, erection, or repair of buildings in accordance
with the public health, welfare and safety and to provide by
ordinance for the granting of permits with respect to the lo-
cation, erection, or repair of buildings.
