such days and during such hours as they shall determine. In
the event the Supervisors of Elections of any county shall
provide for such registration the County Commissioners of
said County shall make available sufficient funds to pay the
officers of registration designated or named to make such
registration and other necessary expenses, in which event the
said Supervisors of Elections shall either appoint two regis-
tration officers (one from each of the two major political
parties of the State) to constitute a board of registry for
the purposes of this section or one majority member and the
minority member of the Board of Supervisors of Elections
may constitute the board of registry for the purposes of this
section.

All registrations made under the provisions of this sec-
tion shall be subject to review on revision days by the several
boards of registry, as authorized by Section 17 of this Article.
All the provisions of this Article as to registration of voters,
except as otherwise provided in this section, shall be appli-
cable in making registrations under this section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 326.
(House Bill 91)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
293 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Public Passenger Mo-
tor Vehicles", and Section 218 of Article 81 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Revenue and
Taxes", sub-title "Mileage Tax for Use and Maintenance
of Roads", providing for a reduction of the fees imposed
as to certain motor vehicles engaged in intrastate and inter-
state transportation of passengers for hire.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 293 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Public
Passenger Motor Vehicles", and Section 218 of Article 81 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Reve-
nue and Taxes", sub-title "Mileage Tax for Use and Mainte-
nance of Roads", be and they are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
