more County, $1,500; in Calvert County, $100; in Caroline
County, $250; in Carroll County, $400; in Cecil County, $150;
in Charles County, $125; in Dorchester County, $200; in Fred-
erick County, $480; in Garrett County, $125; in Harford
County, $300; in Howard County, $300; in Kent County,
$300; in Montgomery County, $900; in Prince George's Coun-
ty, $400; in Queen Anne's County, $250; in St. Mary's Coun-
ty, $200; in Somerset County, $250; in Talbot County, $250;
in Washington County, $400; in Wicomico County, $300; in
Worcester County, $300. Such salaries and any other ex-
penses incurred by said Supervisors under this Article, shall
be paid by the County Commissioners of their respective
counties or by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
City, as the case may be, in such installments as the said
County Commissioners or Mayor and City Council may pre-
scribe, and they shall receive no other fees or compensation, ex-
cept as hereinafter provided. Each substitute Supervisor ap-
pointed under Section 1 (b) of this Article shall receive a per
diem compensation of not less than ten dollars ($10) per day
for each day actually served by him, to be fixed by the County
Commissioners of the respective counties or the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore City, as the case may be.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 255.
(House Bill 328)
AN ACT authorizing and empowering the County Commis-
sioners of Harford County to borrow upon the faith and
credit of Harford County a sum of money not to exceed
Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000) at a rate of interest not
to exceed five per cent, and to issue notes and/or bonds
therefor, for the purpose of erecting and equipping school
buildings and building additions to existing school build-
ings, and equipping same; and providing for the levying of
taxes by said County Commissioners to repay the loan and
interest thereon, and providing that said loan and every
part thereof and the interest payable thereon, shall remain
exempt from State, County and municipal taxation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Harford County be
