25. Every person conducting a sale in violation of Section
22 of this sub-title shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined not less than Ten Dollars nor
more than One Hundred Dollars, in the discretion of the
Court; each such sale shall be deemed a separate violation.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 235.
(House Bill 238)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
625 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Baltimore County", sub-title "Roads and
Streets", as the same was enacted by Chapter 857 of the
Acts of 1945, to provide authority to require property
owners to repair or construct curbs, gutters, sidewalks
and footways in Baltimore County under certain circum-
stances and prescribing the procedure therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 625 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Baltimore County", sub-title
"Roads and Streets", as the same was enacted by Chapter
857 of the Acts of 1945, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

625. The Roads Engineer of Baltimore County is hereby
authorized and empowered to order, require and direct the
owner of any ground bounding on any of the roads, high-
ways, streets, avenues, or alleys in Baltimore County to
grade, lay out, dig down, fill up, pave, repave, construct,
reconstruct, repair, extend, widen, straighten and improve
curbs, gutters, sidewalks and footways in accordance with
such reasonable plans and specifications as may be required
by said Roads Engineer. Any work required of a prop-
erty owner shall be done at the expense of the property
owner after receipt of notice from the Roads Engineer to
perform said work. Such notice shall specify the work to be
done with reference to curbs, gutters, sidewalks and footways,
the manner of doing said work and the materials to be used
therein. The notice aforesaid shall be given or served on the
owner of the lot along whose boundaries work is required
