half of the residue of the lands as an heir and one-half of the
surplus personal estate remaining (if the deceased spouse shall
not be survived by descendants or a' father or mother), and no
more.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 30.
(Senate Bill 65)

AN ACT to repeal Section 181 of Article 43 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Health",
sub-title "Adulteration of Food and Drink", said section
prohibiting the sale of beer, porter, etc., unless brewed
as such or to which coloring matter has been added.

WHEREAS, Article 27, Section 457, is a duplicate of the above-
mentioned section, thereby making this section unnecessary;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 181 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Adul-
teration of Food and Drink", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
