land (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County", sub-title "Kitz-
millersville", and to add three new sections to said Article,
said new sections to be known as Sections 249A, 249B and
249C, and to follow immediately after Section 249, relating
to the registration of voters in the Town of Kitzmillersville.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 249 of Article 12.of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett
County", sub-title "Kitzmillersville", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that three new
sections be and they are hereby added to said Article 12, said
new sections to be known as Sections 249A, 249B and 249C,
to follow immediately after Section 249 of said Article and
all to read as follows:

249. The Mayor and the Council therein named shall
have power to pass all such ordinances for conducting the
elections herein provided for, or which may be hereafter
authorized to be held, and shall make returns thereof to the
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Garrett County. And the
qualified voters of any said elections shall be bona fide resi-
dents, shall be twenty-one years of age or over, of said Town
of Kitzmillersville, who have been residents of the State of
Maryland for the period of one year, and of said town for
the period of six months continuously next before the date
of any such election, and who shall have been duly registered
as provided in Sections 249A, 249B and 249C of this Article;
and that no one shall be eligible for the office of Mayor or
Councilman of said town unless he or she shall be a real
estate holder or owner, or husband or wife of a bona fide
real estate owner of said town; and the Mayor shall have
been a resident of said town for two years previous to his
election, and the Councilmen shall have been residents of
said town one year prior to their election.

249A. The Mayor and Council of Kitzmillersville shall
cause to be maintained a registration of the legal and quali-
fied voters residing within the corporate limits of the Town
of Kitzmillersville; said registration shall specify the resi-
dence of the voters on each street, lane and alley and such
further information as the Mayor and Council of Kitzmillers-
ville may consider necessary to show their qualifications as
such voters a provided by Section 249, and such registration
shall be essential to the right to vote at any election held
under the Charter of the Town of Kitzmillersville. The Mayor
and Council of Kitzmillersville shall on or before December
15, 1947, appoint two persons, being citizens of the Town of
