Dollars, said sum to be used for the benefit of said town in
such ways as the Commissioners of said town may elect.

309. The Commissioners of Greensboro shall have the right
to pass a zoning ordinance, duly zoning the sections of Greens-
boro to the full extent provided by law. Said Commissioners
also shall have the right to pass an ordinance restricting
the sale and distribution of milk within the town limits, and
also to regulate the use and structure of safety appliances
and appurtenances, and exits in theatres and places of public
amusement in said town.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any section
or clause of this Act shall be held invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections or sen-
tences.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 218.
(House Bill 160)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 25
of Article 43 of the Code of Public General Laws (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Health", sub-title "State Registrar of Vital
Statistics", to eliminate the fees paid to County Registrars
of Vital Statistics, and to change the fees paid to local and
deputy local registrars of Vital Statistics.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 25 of Article 43 of the Code of Public
General Laws (1943 Supplement), title "Health", sub-title
"State Registrar of Vital Statistics", be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as
follows:

25. (a) The deputy local registrar shall receive for per-
forming the services required under this sub-title the following
fees: For each proper and correct certificate of death or birth
delivered by him to the local registrar as provided in this sub-
