CHAPTER 26.
(Senate Bill 3)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
1 of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact",
sub-title "Admission to the Bar", eliminating the provision
that exempts Garrett County from certain provisions of
said section.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Article 10 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and
Attorneys in Fact", be and it is hereby repealed and re-en-
acted, with amendments, to read as follows:
1. No person shall practice the profession or perform the
services of an attorney at law within this State without being
admitted to the bar as hereinafter directed; and any person
who shall give legal advice, represent any person in the trial
of any case at law or in equity or prepare any written instru-
ment affecting the title to real estate, for pay or reward, shall
be deemed an attorney at law for purposes of this Article.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 27.
(Senate Bill 14)
AN ACT to repeal Section 187A of Article 81 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Revenue
and Taxes", sub-title "Annual Reports to be Filed with
the State Tax Commission", said section relating to reports
to be filed by building and loan associations.
WHEREAS, the provisions of this section have expired and
no longer have any application; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 187A of Article 81 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes",
