for not more than six months, or both said fine and imprison-
ment.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 209.
(House Bill 102)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
22 of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "State Roads", as said section was
amended by Chapter 206 of the Acts of 1945, making it
unlawful to discharge or deposit insanitary matter on
public highways, State highways, drainage courses, struc-
tures, or the right-of-way.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 22 of Article 89B of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Roads", as said
section was amended by Chapter 206 of the Acts of 1945,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
22. Any person who shall ride, drive or walk upon any
new roadbed, or new repairs of any roadbed, constructed or
being constructed by or under the supervision of the State
Roads Commission of Maryland before the same is opened
for traffic, and any person who shall ride or shall drive or
operate a vehicle of any kind upon the parking strips or
center parkway area on dual highways, unless authorized by
said Commission, and any person who shall remove any light or
guard set up for the purpose of closing said road or any part
thereof to traffic, and any person who shall otherwise mali-
ciously injure or damage in any manner any highway built
under the provisions of this Article, either in the course of its
construction or thereafter, or who shall otherwise maliciously
injure or damage any work, material or structures used in
connection therewith, and any person who shall discharge
or deposit any insanitary matter or material upon any public
bridge or highway or right-of-way thereof or in the drainage
course or structure of any public highway shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof, shall be fined not
more than One Hundred Dollars ($100) or be imprisoned
