CHAPTER 205.
(House Bill 88)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
100 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Ad-
ministration—Registration—Titling", making it a misde-
meanor to obtain, or attempt to obtain a license by mis-
representation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 100 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-
title "Administration—Registration—Titling", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

100. (Unlawful Use of License.) It is a misdemeanor for
any person:

(1) To display or cause or permit to be displayed or have
in his posession any cancelled, revoked, suspended, fictitious
or fraudulently altered operator's or chauffeur's license;

(2) To lend his operator's or chauffeur's license or chau-
ffeur's badge to any other person or knowingly permit the use
thereof by another;

(3) To display or represent as one's own any operator's or
chauffeur's license or chauffeur's badge not issued to him;

(4) To fail or refuse to surrender to the Department upon
its lawful demand any operator's or chauffeur's license or
chauffeur's badge which has been suspended, revoked or can-
celled ;

(5) To use a false or fictitious name in any application
for an operator's or chauffeur's license or to knowingly make
a false statement or to knowingly conceal a material fact
or otherwise commit a fraud in any such application;

(6) To permit any unlawful use of an operator's or chauf-
feur's license or chauffeur's badge issue to him;

(7) Knowingly or fraudulently to obtain, or attempt to
obtain, a license by misrepresentation.

Violation of this section shall be deemed to be a misde-
meanor and upon conviction shall be punishable by a fine
of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by im-
