OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN B. FUNK, SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 194
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as amended
by Ch. 934 of 1945, DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the Referendum
Election held in the town of Elkton for the purpose of deter-
mining whether the authority should be granted the corporate
body of the town to regulate the showing of motion pictures on
Sunday, said Act being Chapter 1077 of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1945, this Act was submitted to the voters for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions of the Con-
stitution of the State, said Act being:
An Act to add five new sections to Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, relating to Sunday
movies in Cecil County.
AND I DO CERTIFY. That at the said election held Monday,
July 23, 1945, 275 votes were cast in favor of the adoption of
Chapter 1077 of the Acts of 1945 and 235 votes were cast
against the adoption thereof, the said Act is therefore ratified.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
