(House Joint Resolution 11)

A Joint Resolution requesting the State Roads Commission of
Maryland to install a traffic control signal at'the inter-
section of Routes Nos. 180 and 170 in Anne Arundel
County.

WHEREAS, there have been numerous serious accidents,
several of which have been fatal, at the intersection of Routes
Nos. 180 and 170 in Anne Arundel County; and

WHEREAS, these accidents might have been avoided had
traffic at this intersection been controlled by a traffic control
signal; therefore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
State Roads Commission of Maryland, be and it is requested
to install a traffic control signal at the intersection of Routes
Nos. 180 and 170 in Anne Arundel County; and be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent by the
Secretary of State to the Honorable Robert Reindollar, Chair-
man of the State Roads Commission of Maryland.

(House Joint Resolution 12)

Resolution requesting the Governor to appoint a Special
Commission to study the Workmen's Compensation Laws.

WHEREAS, the Workmen's Compensation Laws have been
amended from time to time but there has been no general
revision of these laws; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that these laws be revised as has
been done in the case of the laws relating to Oysters, Fish,
Game, Motor Vehicles, etc.; now therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be and he is hereby requested to appoint a Special
Commission to study and revise the Workmen's Compensa-
tion Laws and to submit its report, together with its revision
to the Governor and the Legislative Council on or before
