full term has elapsed and who shall hold his office until his
successor is elected and qualifies as hereinafter provided, and
who shall be subject at all times to be removed by the Gov-
ernor for wilful neglect of duty or misdemeanor in office
upon conviction in a court of law; the said Treasurer shall
be collector of all State and county taxes for whatsoever
purpose or purposes levied or to be levied, for or within said
county during the term of his office and he shall have
full power, and it shall be his duty to receive and collect
all State and county taxes levied as aforesaid with full
power to enforce the payment of the same by sale or other-
wise, and to convey title to any real or personal estate sold by
him; and when it shall be necessary for him to proceed to
collect the taxes placed in his hands by sales of real or per-
sonal property he shall proceed as now directed for the collec-
tion of taxes by collectors, and shall be allowed the same fee
therefor as now allowed collectors, except that a notice of
unpaid taxes by a constable or constables as hereinafter pro-
vided, shall be deemed a sufficient notice prior to making the
levy. It shall also be the duty of said Treasurer to collect all
monies which shall be due said county or which by any Public
Local or Public General Law shall be due and payable to the
County Commissioners of Calvert County.

(b) The said County Treasurer shall place all State and
county taxes and other county monies collected and received
by him under the provisions of the preceding sub-section, in
some bank of said county and shall disburse said monies
under the provisions of law and upon the voucher of the
County Commissioners, filed in duplicate with said County
Treasurer.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws whether Public General or Public Local, inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act, be and they are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
