directed, effective from June 1st, 1947, to retire from active
duty Edward D. Hilton, the Court House janitor of the Court
House in Ellicott City; and, accounting from June 1st, 1947,
to pay the said Edward D. Hilton an annual pension of Six
Hundred Dollars ($600.00), in equal monthly installments,
on the first day of each and every month during the lifetime
of the said Edward D. Hilton.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Howard County are authorized, empowered and
directed to pay said pension out of the general revenue derived
by the County other than from taxes on assessable real and
personal property.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 912.

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being Article
16 of the Code of Public Laws of Maryland, title "Mont-
gomery County", sub-title "Montgomery County Suburban
District", said new section to be known as Section 711B
and to follow immediately after Section 711A of said Code,
as added by Chapter 806 of the Acts of 1943.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939
Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Mont-
gomery County Suburban District", said new section to be
known as Section 711B, to follow immediately after Section
711A of said Code, as added by Chapter 806 of the Acts of
1943, and to read as follows:
711B. Prom and after June 1, 1947, the area known as
the "Montgomery County Suburban District" shall include
all that parcel of land, situate in Montgomery County and
more particularly described as follows:
All those lots of ground near the Town of Kensington
known as "Homewood" as laid out and recorded among the
