2166 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 905

The County Treasurer of Frederick County shall receive
an annual salary of $4,800.00.

The County Treasurer of Anne Arundel County shall
receive an annual salary of $5,000.00.

The County Treasurer of Baltimore County shall receive
an annual salary of $5,200.00.

The County Treasurer of Prince George's County shall
receive an annual salary of $6,000.00, out of which he shall
pay the compensation of certain clerks.

The County Treasurer of Washington County shall
receive an annual salary of $4,800.00. The Deputy Treas-
urer and Clerks shall each be paid such compensation
as the said Treasurer, with the approval of the County
Commissioners of said county shall determine. The County
Commissioners shall pay all the office expenses of the
Treasurer and shall have the power, in their discretion, to
increase the compensation of the Treasurer and the em-
ployees in his office.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sub-sections
(b) and (c) of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County,"
sub-title "County Treasurer," as said sub-sections were
amended by Chapter 402 of the Acts of 1941, be and they
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

(Senate Bill 476)

AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 87 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Sheriff", to be under sub-title "Compensation and
Duties", said new sections to be known as Sections 37A,
37B and 37C and to follow immediately after Section
37 of said Article, relating to the compensation and
duties of Sheriffs, Deputy Sheriffs and other employees
and providing for the disposition of fees, and repealing
Sections 622 and Sub-section (1) of 623 of Article 1 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
