SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 302 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title "Gaming", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

302. Nothing in this sub-title shall be construed to
make it unlawful for any bona fide fraternal, religious, or
charitable organizations or corporations, or volunteer fire
company operating in communities which have no paid
fire department, to conduct or operate a game of bingo
for the benefit of charity in Allegany, Anne Arundel or
Kent Counties, or in furtherance of the purposes of such
organizations, corporations or volunteer fire department.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
337 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Health," sub-title "Undertak-
ers," exempting certain persons from the requirement of
an examination for the purpose of becoming licensed
embalmers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 337 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Health," sub-title
"Undertakers," be and are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendment, to read as follows:

337. Before any person or persons shall hereafter
engage in the profession of embalming in this State, and
before any person or persons now so engaged in said pro-
fession of embalming in this State who shall fail to regis-
ter with said Board in accordance with Section 335 of this
Article, shall continue to carry on said profession of em-
balming in this State, such person or persons shall apply
